Webmaster cum Photographer?

hi all,

do any webmaster make their own graphic? i mean webmaster cum photographer! make their own graphic with their own photo?

Yes, certainly. It would be great if you can make your own photo instead of purchasing stock photos or using others photo.

But normally, I would just use stock photo (free at stock.xchng - the leading free stock photography site ) as well as utilize photo search engine like Yotophoto | Find free photos... fast!

of course... ! I also try to be photographer cum webmaster... just spend RM2700 on Canon DSLR 350D last week in order to get the best picture.

I normally get the photos from http://sxc.hu and http://yotophoto.com too

I do have a Canon IXUS65 but I use it only sometimes, for my web graphics. Other types of graphics (logos and graphic text) are done with Photoshop.

Not really necessary to shoot own photos just for web graphics

... unless you want to create a gallery of your own photos.

RM2700 for 350D??

... that too expensive, PC fair just sold RM2499, and 400D just RM2999, some more free CF card 1G, tripod, camera bag and another thing i forgot d..should be cheap thing la...

previously i am consider on canon 400D (RM2999) or Nikon D80(RM4100). the different is 1k++ MYR... but alot of people also recomend go for Nikon D80. budget was not a issue if the feature is worth.. any comment on this 2 camera?

i buy the camera with lens = RM2599 + 1GB Kingston with speed 150x (RM130) + US Made tripod (RM30) + free bag + voucher RM300 + jusco point = 6000 point = priceless la

I guess there are many web-related training materials than photography ones.

I guess mostly people self-learn the art of photography

wah...Have Voucher 300 and 6000 point will be worth alot... u have giv me a idea, thank!!! after few month when i have enough, i will survey at jusco also...

better wait until JUSCO day la then you can get 6000 points

you're comparing plastic camera with sub-par quality kit lense with Nikon D80.

if you throw away your kit lense, and get another Canon Lense that cover D80's 18-135 range with comparable quality, it could easily cost you around RM1300.

so now your 400D costs you RM4300.

yet, the sad thing is, you're still left with a plastic body SLR.

now compare the price between Canon's flash and Nikon's SB800...
