I only concern about how my logo to be nicely appear on letterhead, brochures or advertisements, .. many ppl can design magnificent logos but they nvr care about if da business need to print out on somethin else like black & white or when logo size reduced, it wil looks bad

what i meant here is i can free to deisgn without any requirement applied or condition..

There's this forum over at DP where you can hold a logo design contest and set the price. Some of the designers (mostly college kids) are actually quite good but unfortunately the winning designs always the hideous one LOL. I did try my hands a few times but only a couple of wins. Good to practice your skills though...

my experience designing a logo..that will be a different designing a logo..that divided into two different ways..

firstly..for offline.agreed with mysticmind...the logo should work in black and white also and also no need to put heavy gradient on that logo..It won't work for print design..

secondly for online..for online matters, not every client or contest holder want the logo to be print..so now people always get crazy with 2.0 design style logo..it comes with heavy gradient and always using specific color for specific categories of concept..

this is my experience at DP and also at sitepoint design contest..
