Images are missing after uploading

Hi

Hopefully those who are familiar with Nvu can help.

I bought a resale right of a ebook and together I was given a sales letter, thank you page and some images file. After editing the necessary using Nvu, those files are uploaded to web hosing server. However, images are not shown on the web page. Anybody knows what part of the process has not been done correctly?

And one more question, do we normally upload all the files under public_html directory or do we create a separate folder for images and pdf files?

Many thanks for your assistance.

emm.. very hard for us to tell wat when wrong there... maybe you can let us know your url so that we can take a look on the html source code... and let us know which image is not showing... or is it all the image is not showing????

normally we upload to the root... different hosting will have different root folder name... you can check with your hoster for confirmation....

normally, the directory structure's the problem.
better you suply us relevant sample. That should be more easy for us to analyze.

anyway.. please do not include "public_html" in your image URL

Just for general information in the future -

Naturally, you should unzip everything you downloaded from your source.

You would normally upload to either the www or public_html folder on most servers. They are the same. If you do something in one, it shows in the other, so it really doesn't matter which.

Unless you want to have the page or package in a subfolder, then you would create a subfolder in the www folder, let's say ebook.

That way you could have another site at www.yoursite.com and the ebook stuff at www.yoursite.com/ebook.

Or, if you have cpanel access you could set up a sub-domain and have the address as ebook.yoursite.com.

In any case, you normally would upload the entire unzipped ebook folder CONTENTS - not the folder itself - from your PC to the www or www/ebook folder on your server.

I have found that if you keep the structure the same as you unzipped it, everything is already in place and you are good to go.
