Responsibilities

* Provide 2nd level support across multiple distributed environments.
* Assist is the training and orientation of new members of the Workplace Support team.
* Provide support for stand-by / on-call rosters where applicable.
* Assist in identifying tool enhancements.
* Identify and rectify technical 'barriers' to successful remote management.
* Provide problem escalation to other groups/leaders where required.
* Complete daily operations checklists.
* Maintain a working operational knowledge of EDS systems and processes.
* Maintain CAMS problem/Change tickets as per EDS Standards.

Requirements:

* Two years Microsoft active directory administration experience.
* Microsoft Exchange administration experience.
* Administration of Microsoft Windows 2000 and/or 2003.
* Proven knowledge and competency of LAN/WAN protocols and services; TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and WINS although not necessarily physical or Network layers.
* MCSE or proven applied competency in Microsoft Exchange, Windows 2000 and/or 2003 administration.
* Able to work 12 hour shifts on a rotational basis.
* Experience with SMS, MOM, Brightstore backup software and Tivoli /Citrix / Metaframe/ XP is an added advantage.
