even it free web advertising..

Most of my friends asking why ??
Using free hosting by
assuming I'm not professional in this line..

What do you guys think ??
Am I not good enough
paid hosting doesn't mean more traffic isn'it ??

for sometimes i not really agree for it. But if you found the good one, where less advertising, fast enough, have good space and bandwith, i think it's ok.
And so, for a few static page, it's no problem but sometime ppl put a huge program like shopping cart or forum base it is become very2 slow and messy.
That's all,
*and i don't really like someone website that have a music background. It's make my kid shock!

what is your recommendation ?
I'm not good in IT...

people will not believe in 'free web'.
potential client might be think you're only playing or not serious doing business.
and worse case the may look or declare your site as 'potential to scam them!'.
a cheap and affordable domain (RM35+- and hosting at RM50 - RM100) wouldn't be BIG SUM btw...

wat the heck... that a real biz website???? 1st impression i just some kiddo hobby site.... if you need to do it as a business better do it rights else nobody will trust u through tat web....

in real world you pass out your namecard to your prospect but in cyber world your website is that business card tat u handed out to your web user....

try cut a newspaper into square, then write your contact number on it and pass it out to your prospect saying "here's my biz card".... sure the prospect will run away like a speeding bullet....

now... that web is like that newspaper biz card that u using..... who want to do biz with some1 that use newspaper as biz card....

my comments maybe hard and unpleasant to hear but hey... welcome to the real world....

** when u put so many picture.. that picture will automatically download into visitor pc. unless that visitor disable "show picture" options.
** flash also. flash just make ur website more berat utk load. but kinda cool la if u use paid hosting uptime bagus. itu ok la.

I want to comment about using free webhosting, but it will be in conflict of interest as I am a webhosting provider. But, this is my personal opinion.

1. Free hosting does not give proper support to sustain your business website. They do not entitle to keep backups for you. So, everything is manual there.

2. From your customers perspective, if you could not afford to buy a domain + hosting, how could you afford to sustain your business. Seems not relevent but it is true. Would you buy a Honda from salesman who use Toyota ? Would you buy something from AMAZON or Lelong when they host at lelong.freehost100.com

3. Although you do online business, please maintain the corporate or artistic image

If you're serious abt ur biz... get ur own hosting and domain.

And for the background music.... lose it, unless absolutely necessary. It's sooo outdated and amateurish, not to mention annoying.

Things that will immediately make any site look amateurish/outdated .... background music, visitor counter and crappy background pattern(u can pull this off if you choose the more elegant type)

Don't forget that free hosting's speed, uptime, etc are not guaranteed.
You may have several downtimes in a day (if some joker overload the server with resource intensive script).
Free host is also a target of hackers.
