Payment Gateways

Anyone here experienced or knows how to build a payment gateway? I'm not talking about using PayFlo, Authorize.net or the like. I'm talking about building something similar to PayFlo or Authorize.net but it's your 'own' gateway. So it would be something like below:

Client (via 128-bit SSL) --> My Payment Gateway (via 1024-bit RSA) --> Bank Network

Anyone have knowledge in 1024-bit RSA security that banks use for secure transactions?

you have to talk to any local bank that might support you on the project. but you need to have good business plan.
Once you get their approval, the IT people will work with you. It should be fairly simple. For example, Citibank would work with you if you manage to justify to them.
Then they would provide you with the necessay link for your payment page to link to. And you will specify a return page, when customers done with the payment.

You need to be a BIG player to be able to get a nod from anyone of them. Not simple to justify but quite easy once they agree to work with you.
