Im currently using Win ME and plan to upgrade to XP Home.
Will I lose my emails of OExpress 5 when I upgrade to XP Home's OExpress6?

u will not lose by upgrading.
I recommend you back up your emails before upgrade, by the way.

Also, do a clean install of Windows XP instead of Upgrading from Windows ME to get full Windows XP performance.

for me win xp is too fussy.you should have at least 128mb ram(256 is more better) to run Xp

128 ram kira paling koman la tu.. aku recommend pakai 512 je, ye la...OS dah sekian.. lom campur software yg nak d install, antivirus lagi...tambah lagi game...fuh!! rasa nak pakai ram 1Gb jak.. hampeh betul...

anyway, better back-up all your e-mail.. better format terus, install full Win XP, jgn pakai Win XP Home, i dont recommend you to use it..it sucks! use Win XP Proffesional...

128MB ram for window XP? Lupakan saja.......lembab nak mampus......nak bukak excel pun lembab apatah lagi nak guna software like cam dreamweaver atau photoshop......

For me paling minimum 256MB tapi sedang elok 512MB la...RAM kan dah murah sekarang...........masuk je banyak2 tak rugi pun.........

Virtual RAM?

x penah jumpak lagi perkataan tu dlm XP Home, yg ada cuma Paging File.

fungsi dia, amik sikit HD (banyak pun bole) utk jadi mcm Virtual RAM kot. x nampak apa beza pun w/pun dah setkan ke 988MB saiznya.

sapa tau @ ada pengalaman?

no effect man.. aku try kasi 1GHz virtual RAM tu takde beza apa2 pun.. tak tau la kalau apa yg aku buat tu tak betul..

virtual ram has been replaced by paging file. Only the name is different

Try set paging file to zero, then you will know how important it is for windows.

pjal_studio: too much virtual ram only waste your hdd space, it will not increase performance. To increase performance - add more ram.

waa jadik lain plarx criter. asalnya apa bukan pasal upgrade os aje ke? keherx keherx, anyway, everything can be taken for consideration. tapikan, lepas format, xp must be installed from another windows os, am i right? you must at least have windows 95 to setup xp. aku dah try dari dos xleh maa. itu ajelah nak kata. adios amigos.
