Sad to say that Malaysia broadband services are mediocre compared to some of our neighboring countries like Singapore and Thailand. Home broadband services especially, are just expensive in comparison and quality of service is also poor. I am a heavy internet home user and for the most part the 512/128kbps line just don't cut it. I would be comfortable with a 1.5Mbps/384kbps line at home but unfortunately it's too expensive to have it in Malaysia. If they (ISP) would price it around RM200 per month for that level of service, I would jump at the first sight of it. But I don't think that is going to happen in the next 5 years or so.
I just wish we have what they have in the States or Canada. (Check out the boardband speed there) Come to think of it, we can't even compare the services found in Singapore. So guys and ladies, what could my RM200 per month get me? |

Aku ada jumpa this FREE broadband service, dan it's available to us Malaysians. I think it utilizes a new revolutionary technology, which allows transfers upwards of 2MBps at low or no cost, dan sebab tu dia dan sebab tulah mungkin diorang boleh bagi service ni for Free.
Mungkin this is a good alternative for streamyx. Kalau berminat check this site out: www.juiceboosted.com/index.php No affiliate link please - Edited by ksstudio |

lol .. look at koreans ... they're enjoying 10 gbps connection at their home ... sh1t.
anyway ... i think we cant go far with current telephone cables and lines ... they're old enough ... and already face so may things ... been years in the sunshine ... years also in cold at night/rain ... even we adopt new technology, the telehone cables/line would limit the speed of it ... you cant expect that much from tmnet streamyx ... my area till now not in coverage yet ... be thankful that you have streamyx .... i can only use dial-up ... so what about my rm 200 ? i can afford but no services available ...

tmnet stup1d lah..
iklan kat tv gila2.. coverage ciput.. bandar2 pun tak abis lagi.. lepas tuh kalau kat satu2 tempat tuh ada streamyx kene ada cukup user / pelanggan. Baru dia buat. Tuh pasal aku cakap bodo.. kalau dia tolak tepi dulu iklan tuh... dan jadikan modal untuk set satu2 tempat.. aku rasa dah meluas gila dah coverage. Atau? Dia tunggu Timecell / maxis Webbit pintas kot? Aku harap webbit sampai dulu la kat tempat aku.. huhuhu.. sebab aku dah mula benci tele2kom nih.. Lembab! mahal! dan stup1d. Muahaha.. Maxis? Webbit? |

Streamyx is already a monopoly player.
Government should consider overseas investor for more such service. Time can grow but it's only a matter of time. Such facility are costly to them. The more competitor they have, the better it will benefit us. And what happen to Jaring? ring! ring! - did you hear your customer calling?
