Guys, I saw a one-page ad in the NST yesterday from TM offering wireless broadband for home users. Does anyone know about it? I want to have more information about this first.

Hmm...I dont think its hotspot, they say that they are offering Wireless Broadband for home. In fact they are offering the ADSL wireless modem for RM260+ something. I'll scan the advert and post it here for all to see soon.

yup, not hotspot...see it in newspaper. Ur dad with notebook in the main hall, ur mom in the kitchen (and the fish will go rentung if she still YM-ing), one in the upstair room and YOU in the garden in front of ur house with notebook & cat(kind of lupa~) Hahaha....

Hmmm....I'm a bit confused now whether its the usual Hotspot or its just wireless broadband being rebranded as hotspot@home.

too expensive la the device (PCMCIA card for laptop). for RM1600, i'd rather get a bluetooth enabled phone instead. So far, I'm satisified Digi EDGE (which is what I'm using now -- available nationwide, and up to 384kbps in Penang, KL & JB) -- quite cheap compared to other providers, ie. Celcom with postpaid plan ~ rm200/mth and Maxis ~ RM120/mth (promo).

bluetooth USB adapters are available now from RM60 a piece. I'll waith until the 3G PC card drops its price to around RM400 or below ~ compare with Wifi-G cards/USB adapters that already sell from under RM100 today.

DIGI edge is RM 99 per month.
you can see their ad yesterday in the Star... they also selling some funny vendor's EDGE card and SE Edge cards now...
