Home Workers! How do you stay motivated working from home?

I have been working from home for the past few months. I found it especially hard to concentrate and motivate to work for long hours.

The interruption from friends and family members, the distraction of TV, videos and games, and so on.

For all those experienced SOHO (small office home office) workers, how do you stay focused and motivated working at your comfortable homeground?

Of course best is you can have your own working room / studio at your home.

Else, get yourself a comfortable working desk + chair. Make sure the place where you seat is not facing your bed, TV then you can have better concentration.

Thanks for the good advice, ksstudio

Another method is to schedule your own working time. For example, set a commitment of 9am to 6pm everyday, and make sure you won't do anything but work at this period.

Anybody else would like to share their opinions?

Money is a motivation itself to keep me working at home, but to avoid distractions I leave most of my work for after midnight and that which not require too much attention for after mid-day.

I just work whenever I like, doesn't have specific time and schedule. Sometime, when you not in the mood, you can't force yourself to work, its worthless. Thats one of the reason why I want to be my own boss, work from home, so that I can do my work whenever I feel to.

But, after midnight is the best time in my opinion, unless there are live football match on Astro

robot will become famous soon enough
the best thing that keep yourself working is to love your work. unlike an employee, you do not have the pressure to submit your work within a timeline so you will always find a reason to do something else like watch tv, games, do nothing.
I have problem doing coding work at daytime, dunno why, but night time is the best to work on with my web programming, I would enjoy doing it until morning.
During the day, I will surf for information or doing some graphics works.
So, find your own combination that suit yourself. hopefully you would enjoy your work eventually

Well, first of all, I'll get enough sleep, rest, play with my family and then if I've mood I'll switch on PC and do my work. Just follow your heart-feeling.
