The deal is dead (saw it somewhere, couldn't recall).

But I still think Microsoft+Yahoo < Google.

I see msn internet search engine is out numbered by google's user. Chances for msn to beat Google is low. Even after seeing google getting issues to enter the chinese market on last year, they are still the top gun.

I saw the ranking from some where before:-

1st Google
2nd Yahoo
3rd Msn
4th.... don't remember, probably some crappy search engine.

World's 4th - Baidu

In certain aspects, Baidu can perform searching better than Google for more related search items.

By the way, there are a quite lot of informative pages in the Chinese websites/portals/forums (BBS) that can beat English ones. Besides that, China optical/broadband network/P2P research and development are pretty advanced. She is leading in IPv6.

Until now, we, Malaysians failed to come out fine search engines. Our "Search engines", i.e. http://www.cari.com.my ends up as the forum type (easier to attract visit traffic and get ads sponsor).

Well, cari cannot pakai la, we need to build a good one, my next project is about SE for malaysian. Kakaka. Got ideas, but no weapon. If i can create one, must worth at least 10 billion.

Ya, thanks for reminding, 4th is baidu. However, buidu is only depending on the China's market. Their search engine was full of censorship. But they are the fastest in China. However, based on the recent user's research in china, Google was also nominated as the best search engine above yahoo msn and baidu itself. We all knew google's 'don't be evil' around its corporate value. But slowly, and with last year's debut of google.cn google user will out number Baidu's even greater.
