I have been thinking about the Copyright thing below those websites.
How to do that? Is it necessary to get it?

basically those copyright thing below the websites are js self-declared and u can put in there anytime. In early stage u might not need it but still is encourage to write and put it in there to declare that the the content, images, designs etc on that particular site are all owned by ur right and nobody can duplicate or use it without ur permission.

Thanks. I read it and understand a bit for now that the copyright thing can be done ourself and still legal action can be taken.

I saw in the web hosting site mentioning about Linux hosting, Windows hosting and etc. Any difference? I thought we are using windows in computer.

The major difference is Linux hosting is using PHP and Windows is using ASP (if u know what's PHP and ASP ) u have to see what's ur purpose on ur website to decide on which hosting u have to use.

this hosting server's Linux and Windows is actually the referring to the Operating System used by the server itself. FYI, this server is actually the "PC" on their side, nothing to do with whether our own pc is Windows or Linux

However, i was confuse with your second paragraph. OS = ASP or PHP, so doesn't it mean my pc (windows base) is using ASP and i should let it host under windows hosting?

Looks like i will have to learn about ASP and PHP.

OS is not ASP or PHP, OS is actually the system which u run on the pc, etc - Windows, Linux, BSD etc. In ur case is Windows.

to decide whether to be host under Windows or Linux hosting doesn't matter on what ur pc's OS is. The main concern on deciding which to use is ur knowledge is on PHP or ASP and also on what purpose ur site would be.

Eg:
1. u wanna host a blog, u choose Linux hosting because most blog runs with PHP code.
2. u wanna do a website which is based on ASP coding, choose Windows hosting.
3. u wanna do a website which is based on PHP coding. choose Linux hosting.

if u would wanna learn, 1st good site for u to refer is www.w3schools.com , they provides almost all of the knowledge on web coding

FYI, is always to be good to concentrate on either ASP or PHP, no need to learn both unless u are already familiar with one of them. And learning either ASP or PHP do really takes time, couldn't be done in just 1 or 2 days. A lot of trial and error need to be done by urself to fully understand what's goin on around

I thought i can build a websites only with M.Frontpage which most said easy to use. Maybe inside will require ASP / PHP knowledge. However, will get the cd this week and try it out.

i believe those websites which u said by creating M.Frontpage are those which we all call "static webpage", is js normal html will do so is ok if u doesn't know either ASP or PHP and whichever server would also serve ur purpose and also recommend Linux hosting for beginner . But of course u might wanna learn it for better future use

What is your recommendation for a beginner (zero knowledge) to start with? I am confuse.

I want to create a websites with only a few pages with pictures and wordings. Also, I hope i can accomplish it in 3 months and see how it goes.

3 months would b more then enuff to make a simple static webpage of pictures and wordings. For beginner or not, i will also recommend u macromedia dreamweaver. Mword and Mfronpage if i m correct they would make some extra unecessary codes when u export it to html.

Let me start with the easier one - Frontpage or M.Dreamw, whichever I get hold of it (also HTML). By the way, is it OK to use pirated software?

I read in this forum that Photoshop is going to be strict in copyright. So, any other software recommended for editing pictures? Or should I use Photoshop? Pls adv.

may be u can try out this http://picasa.google.com/ it is a free ware, but sure not powerful as photoshop!

by the way, another point are not mention on the previous post, at the Money point of view, do u found out Linux hosting will cheaper then windows hosting? there is becouse windows hosting server need to pay for the software, no mather OS and asp. whereares Linux hosting noneed to pay for the OS and PHP, all are opensource/free ware
