I Got Copied Literally
Hi guys,
I am sad to tell you that there is a blog out there that literally copied my 6 months old website, all the materials and the celebrities are mostly taken from my site with the web address on the images cropped out. I am really disappointed something like this happens because I worked very hard for the materials and to get the site going. Did you guys ever experience something like this? |

Is the guy using the same photos and the same texts you used in your site?
Anyway, the good news is you can take action towards those copycats. You can file a report to the Bloggers (Google Blogspot) service to take down on the site, or (and, even better), report it to Google Adsense, as it violated the TOS (on copyrighted material). Thanks for your suggestions. I definitely did not have any copyright on any of the images as they belong to their respected photographers and production studios. But I personally scanned / captured them from digital media, to indicate they're originally from my site I put the a transparent web address on the side of each images. This person cropped them out and use them on his/her site. If you notice EVERY celebrity page on the copycat site has my cap on them...
I guess there's nothing I can do then... |

However, if articles were originally written by you then I'd say the only thing you can do is use Creative Commons to protect your copy and write those emails to the lazy *ss plagiarizers. :P
