Webmaster Malaysia Forum Makeover Updates

Hello all,

I will post all the updates on the forum here (instead of creating each separating threads previously).

For all feedback, you may let us know here.

Changes made so far:
- New Categories: Blogging discussion, Blog Promotion, Members Introduction, Search Engien Optimization added
- Removed old categories: VRML
- Combined the programming (PHP, ASP..etc) categories into one main "Website Programming" category.
- Combined the web designing related categories into one main "Web Design" category.
- Moved the Category "Graphic Editors" to "Website Design & Development" and renamed as "Graphic Design.
- Renamed "Web Services" as "Website Marketing and Promotion"

- Added new marketplace for buying and selling of websites, domain names and links:"Site, Domains and Links Marketplace"

- Combined "Broadband" category into "Mamak Stall"
- Combined "Competition" category into "News"

From the good suggestion of mysticmind, a whole new category is added: "Freelance Marketplace".

The category is divided into 2 subcategories:"Looking to Hire", for service buyer, and "Advertise Your Services", for service offer. Take a look.

I have also added a new category called "Web Hosting Offers". This is because a big majority of offers and promotions are web hosting related, so big that it deserve a category of its own.

The "product and service promotions" has been renamed to "Other Webmaster-related Services and Promotion". As the name suggestion, non-webmaster related service and promotion will not be allowed and will be deleted immediately.

I will spend the next few days to come out with the rules, as well as moving the old threads to the correct forum.

It seems like the site, domains and links sales marketplace has not received much expected popularity (only 1 thread in the past month). Hence, now you can also request link exchange under that section.

Latest update:

- The Software section seemed very inactive(with only 5 active posts for the past several months). I have combined all the posts of "HTLM Editor, FTP Program and Sound Editor" to one forum "Software" under the section of "Website Design & Development".

- "HTML Site Check", "Flash Site", "Site Showcase" and "Member's Site" are actually redudant posts, where all more or less featuring reviews and suggestion for members' website. All categories combine into one "Websites Suggestion and Review".

- Launching of "Webmaster Malaysia Website Award".
