i think the upgrade started every night 8pm instead of as what they announce, i felt the connection started to drop after 8 yesterday, the speed is recovered now. just now around 6 am still slow

Haha. They are probably tweaking their system every now and then without announcing.
Like nobody, I too have seen my fair share of Streamyx ssssssssssssssssssslowness.

lol, tmnet always undergo service upgrading...but nvr seems to b improving after so many upgrades..
found this somewhere in the web lately when searching for alternative broadband other the this tmnut screamyx i saw something yesterday saying that the streamyx connection with the external ip of 60.xxx.xxx.xxx is not good, it will get dc easily.. is it true?

not really. I guess it depends how much load the pipe takes. I usually saw ip from 60.xxxx being so active in my website.
it peak hours, when the service is congested, i'm sure not only ip from 60.xxx will be affected

I wish there was an affordable sattelite link from Malaysia! Streamyx always has problems

first they said 3 week should be ok.
then they posponed.. they said 23 january 2007 and then!.. they extended to 29th January!. duh!

i guess it would be after CNY of maybe after merdeka hehe..
btw, does anyone know the difference between streamyx 512kbps and 1mbps in terms of speed and performance? my 1mbps connection doesn't seem fast at all, it there is no difference with 512kbps, I guess I'm not going to pay for the extra bucks

hah! same thought here robot....i was thinking is it really got difference nowadays...yesterday my line was SooooooooOOOO SllloooooooooooooWW at home, all the while i was already planning to downgrade to 512k, but i js cant take any leaves the moment to purposely go to TMPOINT and do the procedure

yeah, since I'm only surfing and do some website stuff with in internet connection and not using it for any torrent or file sharing program. I think its a waste to pay so much for a cheap yet unstable service
