'Adult Friend' Finder? Relationship? Hmmm, something not quite right about that. Have you tried lavalife? They've got different sections for different... requirements. I used it a lot in the past, found it very good.

Since you've got very clear specifications, you might be better off just booking a cheap Air Asia flight and having a holiday there - backpackers' hostels can be very cheap. I hear they have plenty of 'aussie gals' in Australia.

Very impressive graphics. But I find the width of the page to be wider than the screen. Wonder how others feel about that but personally, I never like my pages to be like that.

And I think the concept of "like minded people" to be too vague: WAYN, for example, positions itself as a travel and lifestyle social networking community website. You can't be all things to all people. You ought to find a niche.

Other than that, I think it is a laudable attempt. No small task! Anyway, this is only my personal opinion and I am no expert, hehehe.

I remember once I met a Ugandan girl from lavalife.com, her photo was lovely. She was lovely too, as a person. The photo was obviously taken 20 years and very many pies previous to our meeting though. Not that I have anything against people who eat pies, it would have just been nice to see a more recent photo, that's all. I guess webcams can get around the 'photo from twenty years ago' problem, but like telephoning someone you've never met before, it's quite a big step on a dating site.

I occasionally think of trying to start a social networking site, but I think those require a seed community of beautiful people, who may or may not be well rewarded for looking invitingly at the camera. I wouldn't go as far as

but I can imagine the first few dozen members may need some incentive to join an empty site. You should definitely give lavalife a go, although it's much bigger in the northern hemisphere. Yes, I know...technically... we are.

Maybe we should start an h2h (heart2heart) site that doesn't actually have any members, just exposes an API for other dating sites to use. Just scrape members' photos and details from existing sites, then implement a simple message exchange protocol allowing people to send cross-dating-site messages to each other. Run it for free for a few months, then slide in a sign-up fee. Everybody say Kuching!

My impression of the mygamester site is that someone put a lot of work into it (I like the artwork), but it hasn't got a community - it looks empty and unused. I don't know how to solve the 'no community' problem, they either need some very charismatic friends to join up and be active for a while, or some very attractive sock puppets - wikipedia tells me this technique is called astroturfing.

Perhaps Malaysia is a hard place to start community sites, in the West it's very common for people to rally behind any cause, no matter how hopeless, irrelevant or ill-conceived it is. I don't really know why it's like that, but I think it must make it easier for people to start community networks. In Malaysia, every time I think of some idea that depends on a network of willing contributors, I'm reminded of that cartoon I saw soon after I came to Malaysia (I can't find it on the Web - if anybody has seen it somewhere, let me know!) with the guy in the army recruitment office, looking at the employment contract with a calculator in his hand, saying "Where got profit?" or something...

Better type something in to one of my own projects...

The main reason is our country is too SMALL. The whole country is just as big as or even smaller than a state of USA, China etc. They have the population to do anything they want. The quality and quantity is there. Just look at American Idol, Miss USA, Olmpic game or any competiton, the semi final quality is better than our's final. Why? because they are selected from 50 over "countries" (state actually). While we only have 1 countries which is smaller than their state.

If don't talk about quality, then quantity also a lot more than us. How many cities in US or China? Just 1 person buy from you in a city is few hundred thousands or Million. Here is barely hundred, the rest are kampung.
