Thumbs up Which traffic trackers do you recommend?

Which traffic trackers (or hit trackers or whatever named) do you recommend?

Which ones are excellent? or what is the best combination?

Why do you recommend them?

Those tools could include the features:
- Unique visitors,
- Site navigation paths,
- Search engines traffic,
- Geographic origin of visitors,
- Visitors' IP
etc

For examples,
Google Analytics
(Note: It doesn't display visitors' IP. Is it possible to display the visitor's IP from it?)

SiteTracker

StatCounter

OneStat

FreeStats

ShinyStat

Using Alexa tracking is the best. Since Alexa is the most famous brand for tracking

google analytics give comprehensive tracking stats... it can show which keyword ppl are using to find your website...

I duno much about those details in the stats so I still stay with the stats provided in the cpanel. I think that is pretty sufficient though

analaytics is free up to 4 million pageview per month.

it's for unlimited pageview if you are an adwords publisher.

unless your alexa rank is below 20,000 it's suficient.

as a rule of thumb :
my website with alexa rank 20k-30k
only generates like 100k pageview daily (3million/mo)

so you shouldn't worry much about it. and in case you need unlimited account, just buy the cheap keyword as a get around.

once you're on a dedicated server, you might want to turn off statistics for performance purpose. this is where external stats tracking matters.

and with analytics you could link another google account as a view-only account and give it access to view your stats. this is invaluable when you are trying to sell your website, or seeking for investment/partnership. can't do that in cpanel aite?

just set the "FROM" date & "TO" date to the day you want to track.

set both field to the same value, and analytics will show you a bold dot instead of a bold line on the chart.

alexa is fun, especially when tracking the daily and 3 months average. It's a thrill to see how much change on daily rank will effect the 3 months average.

but the fact that alexa lags 2 days turns me off quite a bit.
