A Simple Process Of Internet Marketing - 20-03-2008, 12:43 AM

Published by Stuart March 18th, 2008 in Internet Marketing, Books/Ebooks and eBusiness

Management.
If you are just starting out, I guarantee that you will need to follow a lot of different

strategies. For those of us who are not really into learning, I’m afraid there’s little I

can do to help. However, those who have been constantly working on new products and

discussing new ideas with me have always been privvy to new things.

One thing that Dee Ferdinand, a fellow internet marketer from Indonesia mentioned to me when

I was in Jakarta this past week was this: share everything you know because few people are

going to take action anyway. That was quite interesting considering how I’m actually going

to help around 40+ people learn to take action this coming weekend.

It’s really a question about knowing who you are and what you can do. All your passions and

dreams are nothing but a figment of your imagination if you don’t take action. But there’s

something special about this process. It doesn’t start with a home study course, or an ebook

or learning about the latest new-fangled strategy. It begins with understanding how you

invest in yourself. Most of the time, people talk about the investment in oneself merely as

a gimmick to get you to buy. In reality, there are some things you need to know, while there

are other things that you don’t need to know at all. If you knew how to put your motivation

on overdrive, there’s nothing that can stop you. If you knew how to generate great ideas,

there’s nothing stopping you from building wonderful businesses.

So, I could tell you to go get webhosting, but that’s not necessarily always the most

important thing to do. You can go grab products that are highly recommended. For instance,

you could learn to develop instant audio products. To add more value, you could actually

even generate more value through transcriptions. You could even learn to generate income by

building a list of subscribers. In addition, if you want to get other people to promote your

product, grab this affiliate tracking system. Once you are on with one product, you can

literally build other products as you see fit. You might even want a traffic boost using

this system.

Do you see how this works? It’s all about the know-how in creating it, but you’re going to

have to build the system by following through yourself. You need to take action on this. Of

course, this is a simplistic way of doing it. Is there an easier way of doing it? I’m not

sure. But I think that unless you test out one way right from the start (or unless you have

guidance from my Internet Marketing Academy Jumpstart program). Nobody can tell you what to

do, but anyone can do what I’ve just mentioned. The systems are already out there. Explore

on your own, or find a reliable mentor!

I wholly agree with you. Most of us started to venture into internet marketing without a proper approach and guide. When we fail to understand the basics in the first place then we'll falter on the way. What it takes and how to get going, which marketing aspect or niche that you want to delve in?

Ask yourself these basic questions:
  • Are you ready to take this path (IM)?
  • What do you want to achieve?
  • Have you make up your mind?
  • Are you ready to work hard?
  • Do you really believe in IM?

Then you'll have to choose what's the best marketing area that you really enjoy doing. Ask yourself and be honest, is it:
  • affiliate marketing
  • article marketing
  • creating membership sites
  • blogging with ads
  • adsense marketing
  • arbitrage marketing
  • selling info products
  • doing auctions in ebay, lelong
  • etc, etc, etc....

Once you've made up your mind and identify what you want to do then the rest of actions that you need to do will become much more clearer.

Believe me, adsense marketing is not the same as running membership sites, selling info products is not the same as affiliate marketing, hyip and forex are totally different subjects - all are different from each other and have their own strength and weakness.

It's difficult for novice and newbies to decide because they are bombarded by all sorts of marketing email and advertising day-in and day-out.

Yes, most of us need a step-by-step guidance, and hand-ons guide is the best. However every now and then we're bombarded with home or self study guides at exorbitant price. Heck!

As a complementary to what pauljun has recommended on Stuart Tan IM course, you can download a free ebook by Jim Daniels from my blog at do-you-have-the-right-mindset

I would like to get advise from anyone who is doing internet marketing.Basically i am selling affiliate products. So how i am going to market is through classified ads , blog marketing and i strive to achieve top rank in SEO to get more traffics to my blog.I do not use email marketing at the moment because my lists are not much.

1)Do i need to create another website/blog for one product?or stick to my blog and just focus to drive traffics to my blog and build up a strong relationship with readers?

2)If i sell one product in one specific website,i am sure we need to have opt in,however once they clicked the affiliate link to the sales page, there is another opt in page,it might be annoying to customer, what is your advise?

3)If i just focus on one blog ,do i need to insert opt in?Because it is just a blog.

There will b all at this point of time,i hope i can get some respond from you all

Thanks

Hi felex84,

my advice: stick to your blog, just focus on quality content and build relationship with your readers. Blogging can be a great way to both building good branding and promote affiliate products. In fact, blog can be more easy to hit top ranking in search engine than specific website.
