first rule to increase traffic: content

i think the first rule to increase traffic is make sure your content is fresh, and unique (not copied from other site). this will ensure repeat visits. otherwise (with keywords, etc) - you get traffic mostly from search engines. which is very unreliable and seasonal.

give visitors something back. respect them. if you make them feel used (with copy and pasted contents, and crap text) they probably will never come again. if you can, give more than just content to your visitors. since i decided to give iPods to visitors of my site, my traffic increased 200%, for example..

In short, I believe, the rule of thumb for a successful website is: Give your visitors a reason to return to your website.

and the best reason is the good contents and freebies.... "FREE" is the most powerfull marketing ever there is....

and also dun require registration js to read something. if u ever need someone to register, make it as simple as 1 2 3 and please dun have to wait for validation email, unless u r running a forum to prevent spam
