Which articles directories do you recommend to submit to? Why? And how many articles directories do you submit to for one article?

How's the traffic generated from article marketing if you don't mind sharing.

Would appreciate as well if you could recommend free article submitter.

This is what I wrote on Dylan Loh's Secret Article Profits:

That is based on one article that I used to submit to
ezinearticles.com for testing.

Of course this depends much on how you write the articles,
which niche and keywords you're targeting. BTW, the article
I wrote above is not related to internet marketing at all.

I submitted the articles at the free directories. I don't know the diff (of result) between paid and free dir, still experimenting but the result from the free dir was pretty amazing. My blog now has the average of 40 readers/day. Which is the result of submitting and SEO'ing'

Personally I don't see much point in paying for directory submissions. Getting them free is much better I think.

I'm rather curious as well how does article marketing work.

Is it like writing Public Releases and then if they're interested, they'll continue reading the article at the directory or be pointed to your website.

Anyone would care to enlighten the process of how this really works?

Hi Danny

When you post your articles in the free articles directory, you are allowed to put a link in your bio. Webmasters who are interested to publish your article relating to their website topic have to include your bio as well. If visitors of the relevant website like your article, they may click the link included in the bio in oder to find out more, and therefore free traffic to you.

I am currently working on an article directory

I will be glad to accept articles on my website. currently i'm hosting articles i collect from internet resources. But i'm adding functionalities to host new and original (means, this is the first time it's submitted).

But, it's currently in development stage. 95% done. As soon as all the basic functionalities works like expected, i'll activate the "magazine" mode where there'll be sections you may add your details/pics as the author etc. and all the old articles will be flagged as archive.

Realistically I find you only need to submit to Ezinearticles and isnare. When you get to many articles out there a large majority of them get thrown into supplemental results or even do not get indexed due to duplication so there is not much point in making your article go on every article directory there is.
