Hi, i hope i'm posting in the right forum. I have a newbie question:
When companies advertise the number of IPs allowed for a server (1U), do they imply the number NIC they'll connect to their network? I'm confused cause some providers (exp: exabytes) offer 4 IPs. It seems unlikely to have 4 NIC in a 1U server. If the number of IPs offered are for a single NIC, how is it done? Does it require on-site additional setup? Will the support personels require root access to my server? |
