Web hosting servers (and other sorts of similar servers) needs to be housed in a DC facility which provides features such as cooling, fire suppression, security, network connectivity etc etc to have optimal performance. This sort of high-end features cannot be provided at homes or regular offices.
Almost all web hosts are some sort of reseller in one way or another. |

You cannot host your site from home as your Internet Service Provider (ISP, eg TMNet) will not allow you to do so. It will take up too much of your internet connections.
Besides, you'll have to turn on your server 24/7. and you need good cooling systems, network connectivity, fire suppressions, etc... As for host who steals information, I don't think any host would do that. Read their Terms of Service (TOS) before signing up. ![]() |

Hello,
Well, you can have lease line to cater your in-house hosting needs. But it only worth it when your data is much more valuable than internet cost. By the way, webhoster is NOT a reseller to datacenter. We rent their space and deliver it as service to you rather than resell. Thank you,

uhuh.. just subscribe a co location service & lock Ur server OS, no 1 can c Ur data unless they wan2 sabotage it
let say if U r hostin a ecommerce site by our common broadband service 1Mbps at home, up stream is d only concern which U'll only get 512bps or ~64 - 50 Bytes/s, wen simultaneously 10 users accessin Ur site which they averagely get downloadin at 5 Bytes/s, tat is slow.. |

DC is a safe place for you & your client....
don't think to host yourself at home...you can never achieve the best service... |
