Quality VS Quantity - Which do you choose?

Hi guys,

I've always heard of clients where their old host suffers from frequent downtimes or their site is always slow, etc kind of problems.

One of the main reason is that lots of people are keen to sign up with host who offers massive amount of disk space and bandwidth at very low prices.

This is actually called "Overselling", as the host will try to limit cpu and ram resource usage. This is normally only written in their Terms Of Service (TOS).

As such, I would like to conduct a poll on "Quality VS Quantity - Which do you choose?" to understand the mentality of consumers today.

Hope you guys can participate in this poll and give your comments or thoughts as well.

It is how you define quality and quantity that make a different. Customers have different expectation on QUALITY alone

100% uptime can be a quality benchmark
but some customer can have 95% uptime as quality hosting too.

well... i choose quality without a doubt...

Quality to me = speed, good uptime (95% and above), good support

For me

lets say Plan A : 10Gb space and 50Gb bandwidth host with 300 accounts on a server vs Plan B : 1Gb space and 50Gb bandwidth with about 50~100 accounts and cost perhaps 2 X more ..

i'd choose plan B

I've not seen much user like you these days. At least you know what does it mean by "you get what you pay for".

Have had experience with many hosts by now, and the "quality" hosts always beat the "quantity" hosts, hands down.

Of course quality...

Though I also have my playgarden for concept sites, or sites that are still in development. I also test things out at the cheap host, and move it in a later stage.

But for the main moneymakers, and client sites of course quality hosts. I am in luck, for my package (dedicated etc) I would normally pay RM1000 each month, but due to a friend of mine it's only around RM150....lucky me

we all know that Google
