1. How large is the webspace are you looking for?
2. Do you prefer a local or US server?
3. Do you need Coldfusion support?

Of course a reseller plan is suitable because the web developer can sell web hosting plans besides developing websites. He can customize the plan himself this way.

If the web developer subscribed to a shared hosting package, he can only refer his clients to the web hosting company for the hosting plan.

btw, always see the term "over selling". some web hosting company allow some disallow. What is it actually?

Your reseller plan with your host provider = 1GB of Space BW= 20GB

Let say, your Custom Plan for your future clients = 100MB/2GB per package

No overselling = you ONLY can host 10 clients per your reseller plan. 1GB/100MB = 10 package

Overselling = You may host as many clients as u want as long as your clients space doesnt exceed 1GB of your reseller plan.

Maybe 10 clients that signed up with u only used 50% of their space with your reseller plan.. So u can host more clients with your 1GB plan

there's 2 kind of overselling

1. Space
2. BW

100% correct for zmiey. Anyways, I do not allow overselling at my servers.

Here are some extra information about overselling:
Pro: Ability to earn more thus save money on the reseller plan
Cons:
1. Causes the server to be unstable (due to excessive use of resources)
2. Bad remarks on your business: I'm sure clients will give bad comments to a host that oversell their services because they can only use a few MB of space instead of 100MB as promised :P
