Hello eVo-X,

If you are using 2checkout.com, all the credit card transaction will be done on 2checkout.com's secured server and you don't need a SSL.

Our company is base in Penang and we accept payment by check or direct bankin to our bank account.

Feel free to email me at chan@exa-bytes.com if you have any questions.

if u want very good uptime and dun have credit card, i think Exa-bytes is the one you want.

They may be a bit more expensive than those very cheap web hosting plans, but their worth for it. Their server uptime is good, customer service is good.

here is the server uptime report of Exa-bytes.com:
http://www.siteuptime.com/statistics.php?Id=4337
(i keep track of few local webhosting companies' uptime. :P)

You want to host few websites that each has own domain name? You may need a Reseller plans.

(hey, I am not their staff!)

p/s: u may check a web server uptime by using service from www.siteuptime.com (hey! I am not working for the website, too!)

ksstudio, will i get commision if he register with ur company? hahaha... :P

Hi lcf,
Just to inform you that SiteUptime is not accurate. Even their Premium service is not accurate because I received some false report for downtime, etc my server is up and running but it records a downtime *Sigh...

The best is still Alertra's service. Oh btw, another thing is, you shouldn't monitor the hosting company's site because normally not all clients are hosted on the server where they host their company site

p.s.: Just a suggestion

"there is the way in no way. "
of coz there are other better paid server monitoring services out there.

I think that is the only way I can get MORE accurate uptime than what the web hosting companies claim to be.

Many claim to have 99.9% uptime, but refuse to show me some prove or report.

Hi lcf,
I guess you are not using SiteUptime's Premium Service (5 minutes interval?) Tell you what, the Basic service is really, really unaccurate because it monitors every 30/60 minutes. A small downtime, like normally Apache restarts that needs only less than 2 seconds will be recorded as 30 minutes.

I think Paysystems is better than 2checkout. There has been several discussion on 2checkout issues on Webhostingtalk.com forum.

Hi lcf,
http://www.paysystems.com/

FYI, it should be more famous than 2checkout. Not sure why you haven't heard of it before.

As for KKHost.Net, we use PayPal to receive credit card payments. I know Malaysia is out of their service country list, but we have a partner in SG which will handle the transaction for us.

Hello all,
My experience:

2checkout:
have a problem, where they did't even pay us. Not only that, our account at 2checkout became $USD -50.00

Paysystem:
I heard their are good, try to deal with them, but failed, their did't negociate with us Malaysian.

Mercumaya will come with Malaysian Merchant partnered with Skali by October 2003.

Thanks and good luck for all.

Feel free to take a look at our web hosting offerings at http://WHOIS.ws/asp/webhosting . Plans start at $5.88/month, payable monthly via credit cards (Visa/MC/Discover/Amex) or prepaid cash account (wire transfer). Our domain offerings start at $4.95/year (.BIZ promo until Sept 30, 2003).

No credit card, no problem, we're in Penang and can accept any legitimate form of payment via bank-in, mail or in person. We actually offer hosting plans as much as 50% off offline, ie. that Junior account with unlimited email accounts, databases and CGI support at just RM123/year. Our special local jumpstart plan with 50MB space with one free domain name is just RM199/year.

We do offer merchant accounts too (partnered with PayQuake/Authorize.Net), ie. see http://WHOIS.ws/asp/ecommerce/landing, but likely for serious merchants with decent budget as they are not cheap especially for merchants with non-US presence. I personally use PayPal as I maintain US bank accounts, but, there are a number of alternatives out there like ikobo, stormpay, western union's bidpay etc. that accept customers from Malaysia. I've checked out PaySystems in the past too, and it seems okay. A number of people I know also use WorldPay.

If you're signing up with any of these payment services, don't hesitate to ask for my referral ID ;-) -- I don't mind getting a few bucks that I can credit towards any of your hosting account(s) with us, ie. $5 can gets you a free domain for a year!!
