Question Data Transfer (Bandwidth)

Assalamualaikum & greetings

I'm about to buy webspace... not to big, just around 50-100MB.
Right now, the only problem for me is...

"How to estimate the data transfer (bandwidth)?"

FYI, this is only a personal site with (maybe) some microsite hosted in future.

Let me know also, how much the data transfer you're using now.

p/s: I'm trying to make my first buy worth-a-buy, guys... do help me!

To estimate the data transfer rate of your website, you need to estimate the size of your web pages and estimate the amount of page visits.

Example:
My blog site is about 6000+ visits per month, the bandwidth used is about 400+MB. (my site has very small amount graphic)

If your site has a lot big size files(graphic, music...) then the bandwidth requirement is bigger.

Normally, 2GB per month is enough for a personal website.
Hope this help you to estimate how much u need.

Don't worry about bandwith because most of latest server equip with auto reminder when your bandwith utilization become 60% above current package...

At this time...contact your provider to increase the bandwith or just upgrade current package...all bandwith problem will be solve...

May be you should estimate how many visitor you can get per day first before worrying about the bandwidth. You are allowed to upgrade your plan any time if you are reaching bandwidth limit. If you are starting a new site, i believe 1GB will be more than enough for a start.
