Talking Opinion needed

Hi guys,
First of all, thanks for spending your time to read this post. I would like to get some opinion from you regarding to dedicated servers that we are going to sell shortly.

Below are the server specifications and we are still in consideration for bringing in more other server specifications:

Server specifications (with RM350 setup):
Cheapest server: Intel Celeron 2.4Ghz, 256MB DDR RAM & 40GB HDD - RM350/month
Most expensive server: Intel Pentium 4 2.8Ghz, 1GB DDR RAM & 80GB HDD - RM500/month

Network Information
The server will be colocated in EXPAN, Singapore using EXPAN's facilities but not their bandwidth.

EZNetwork Solutions will be our bandwidth provider. We will have 100mbps peer from STIX and S-One.

Description
The reason why we selected Singapore to put our server is because we manage to get 100% Network SLA from our network provider. Although we do not include any SLA for our customers (at the moment) however I feel that our customers are safe from network downtime. I guess our network provider will not provide us SLA for nothing

The other thing is, personally I have my server at the same place up for some time and so far I do not receive any complaint mail from my clients regarding to uptime/connectivity.

As for why we are choosing EZNetwork Solutions, if you are a PHP/MySQL user, I guess EZNetsol's name will not be strange for you. They are providing the download mirror for PHP/MySQL.

Please, state your opinion below regarding to anything (especially the pricing)

Again, thanks for your time!

Sounds like very good deals.

How much bandwidth will you be offering? Any Control Panels? Upgrade costs for RAM, HDD, or bandwdith?

Do you happen to have a speed test file from which I can try? I'm currently on a T3 line in Toronto, Canada, and I'd like to see the speeds I get compared to our MYLoca server. On MYLoca, I've gotten anywhere from 250-800kbps - usually a constant 350-450kbps at any given time.

Hi UltraUnix,
I'm offering unmetered bandwidth for the servers but I believe the bandwidth will be somewhere around 300+GB/month. If you are interested to know more about the Additional Services, you may visit our Dedicated Server page. We just updated that page with the latest pricing but we have not officially launch the server.

As for the testfile, I believe Whei Meng got it from me last time. I am not sure the result of MyLOCA. I talked to my partner from Taiwan (where I get the rack space from in SG) regarding to MyLOCA and he is coming down soon to Malaysia to pay a visit to Cyberjaya. Of course, if he feels MyLOCA is better than EXPAN, he will invest on the datacenter and I'll start introducing MyLOCA plans later.

Thanks for your interest

Oh by the way, I forgot to say that the reason why my partner wants to come down to Malaysia to take a look at the datacenter before the investment is because he understands that the connection speed is not number 1. He wants to take a look at the datacenter facilities (which is very important) and of course, a detailed report for connectivity from MyLOCA is most accurate.

Thanks.

Cool, I will ask WM about it then.

Are you planning on larger amounts of International traffic with your servers? Or more local? Because I remember getting much better routing and pings through Netmyne, though they are more expensive, they aren't the Number #1 DC in Malaysia for nothing. But to be honest, MYLoca has been good to us so far.

Hi UltraUnix,
I guess I have to leave the decision to my partner as he is the one who is investing on the datacenter I think he has already made an appointment with MyLOCA staff.

Thanks.
