Hmm....menarik tu. I pun tgh nak tukar webhosting. Nak sewa dedicated server sorang2 tak mampu, kalau boleh split camni ok la jugak.

80Gb space banyak tu. Tapi maximum I boleh share dlm RM 100 sebulan, so agak2 berapa banyak space yg dpt kalau banyak tu bayar? Tapi website I bukan hosting provider la. Download website yg perlukan banyak space dan bandwidth.

sharing a dedicated server is good idea.

But there are many things to consider, like:
who will manage the server? Who has the higest permission? Who in charge if anything happend to the server? What if one of the partner suddenly redraw?...etc

Just to remind you that starting a production server using 256MB RAM is risky. 256MB RAM meets only the minimum requirements of cPanel.

512MB RAM is needed since you are going to share the server as you won't be able to control the usage as you like. Of course, 1GB RAM is highly recommended

Also, I believe if you can tell us which datacenter is the server located in, most will be interested.

Hmm, good point lcf @ michaelfoo. I never think about that. But I believe the person who bought it should manage the server.

And put some contract that you should give one notice if someone want to withdraw from the group.

Although its quite risky, but that the easiest and cheapest way to go a lots of space and bandwidth.

@ michaelfoo - did you have any recommendation spec for a dedicated server?

Hi alang,
Overall the specifications look nice. I would recommend just perform an upgrade for the RAM (to either 512MB or 1GB) and perhaps add another 80GB hard disk as backup drive. Remember, clients' data are important.

hello sapa yang minat sila pmb to discuss , dan bila dah dapat beberapa partner kita bincang online dekat yahoo , tentang sapa yang dapat higest permission tu disuss nanti , ingat nak share server tu split ke VPS jadi tak da masalah

atau cadangan kedua jadi rakan kongsi bukak web hosting services ( tak kesah la sapa yang buat selengaraan asalkan tak mendatangkan masalah kelak )

tentang server saya rasa bincang la dulu untuk dapatkan yang local ke atau oversea ( kalau ler rasa rasanye harga server dekat malaysia ni mahal atau dekat oversea tu murah sikit harga dia )

dan saya rasa perlu la sign apa apa document kot supaya deal ni terjamin dan kena scan ic , driving licenses ke dan lain lain ( discuss nanti )

mengenai cadangan myweb mencari rakan bisnes, saya sebenarnya tertarik .. tetapi.. saya dah plan sendiri.. kongsi dengan rakan saya, cuma satu jer problem saya.. nak manage server tue ... saya nie baru lagi bidang nie, nak kena explore lagik linux administration dan sebagai nya ... Saya ada juga tertarik dengan mesrahosting dedicated server ... Tapi banyak juga plan nak kena buat :P
