No, they can't unless you give them a permission

If the design is purely yours and not buying templates design, then they can use the same designs of yours but not the contents.

If i were you that the design is purely mine, I will call them and give them a black and white to inform them to change immediately, otherwise I will take some action. At least give them a time period to change as a respectful and you have a higher chances to get the damages fund with the reminder letter.

@ michaelfoo - sorry for feeling that way. Just thought that my joke might give you a better feeling.

BTW, just like sorix said, if you got a lawyer, just send a reminder letter to them so that they will know you are serious about this and you really mean business.

I have done that just after seeing the design. It has been taken down

If they don't do it....call them to clarify before you take action, the world is small, you might need them to co-operate (who knows). Don't jump to the conclusion first after you find out why they have not change the web since you gave them the time period....if they said not enough time...then give them a week, and if still can't meet the deadline, what can i say...sayonara babey
