It is common that web hosters have to upgrade their system from time to time and upgrading twice in a month is something common, considering new exploits are discovered from time to time and a solution to overcome it is always a must.

I think you're right, their server seems not responding at this moment. Anyways, they might be performing their kernel upgrade right now? OS patching, control panel upgrading... etc shouldn't give you any downtime.

Just wait for 3 minutes... the server should boot up if that's the case. Just pray for no hiccups or else the downtime might be extended.

I've waited for 45 minutes now. I never knew a linux server could take this much time to reload (last longest time it took for me is... hmm... 1 minute?).

And what's more, they said that "we've received no complains from 400 customers".

I believe that the monthly bandwidth is 60GB per month. What does this means? I get 2 unique visitors to the page per day (dun blame me, i'm new) and the server crashes... I can't imagine if I have 100 uniques per day.

So what do you suggest us to do, mizan? I cannot afford dedicated server so that's out of the question.

Maybe. Hope not cause overselling means misjudgement and over-ambitious, and means naive decision maker, further leading to unstable company and finally leading to sub-satisfactory service and products. Hope that's not the case. And if that IS the case, hope they learn quickly. As for me, I guess if this kind of screw ups get to a less than comfortable level, I'm going to try out either ipserverone, freeserver or exabytes. Freeserver seems the best alternative choice right now.
