Downtime for hive?

There is no downtime Server is just rebooted after new kernel upgrade installation (for security issue). But causes SQL error. Cheers~

this is not a flame. but i feel cheated.
i've only registered for a few weeks and ever since d first day,
everyday there would be a downtime. there's always something that need me 2 contact them. slow loading and long hours of sql database couldnt connect.

i was supposed to fix some error n do some coding tonite but
my site has been down from 12 am and still now 5 am. sql database couldnt connect .

there's no use having a large space , if it's only gonna down every single hour.

to tell u d truth, im pissed.
never thought changing host to hive would be this bad

Server down since 12.30AM untill now.... I sent a mail to the admin at 9AM and still waiting for fixes.....

erm. if he manage to upgrade his server, would this problem be settled? or it would still happen. i can't wait that long. really, i dont wan a host that always goes down. many users are leaving my site for this downtime.
only left a week before my 30 days subcription. so i would like a refund.

That's a lot, man. Since you are generating income from your web site, you should have hosted it on mission critical servers instead. I'm not blaming HiveHosting (yet again) but you'll know the difference between gigabyte hosting & mission critical hosting if you go through the discussions in web hosting forums like MYWHT or WHT.

By adding extra RAM to the server, it will give space for the memory, thus, reducing memory load on the server. Server load (as stated by netkl in other thread) can only be reduced by moving resource intensive web sites to another server and perform optimisation of the system.

I'll leave the accurate prediction to Albert.

i had problems earlier last year..but for this year so far so good..

the extra Ram we added doesn't help much at all. we're taking new server up to move few accounts and considering to terminate 1-2 accounts which is using the highest resources. It's fine on day light time but traffic went 5-10 times from night time until midnight. that I think is our main problem.

this is the almost hardest part for the webmaster..
really hard..
even it's not myself.. but i can feel what's the webmaster feel..
and no one webmaster like it..

soo.. if you terminate them..
make sure u do it wisely or at least give them some enough time to migrate their site..

if the clients is breach our Terms of Services ("TOS") and Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP"), i will suspended their account and give them 24 hours to pack their things.
