Not all malaysian hosting is using malaysia server. Some of them is using oversea server.

Try http://whois.sc/ . Enter the domain and see the details of it. There is a IP location there, you can find out where is the server if the hosting website is hosted together with their client in the same server.

Another faster way is ask the server provided directly. :P

Hello,
Not all the servers in USA/Europe have slow access speed from Malaysia. If the network is good, you shouldn't face such problem. If you really want to avoid using overseas server, you may confirm the server location with the web host by emailing them before subscribing.

Shall you wish to give overseas servers a try, just get a hosted domain from the web hosting company to test how fast does it load from your computer.

Kalau dekat cepat sampai.. kalau jauh lambat sampai?

Banyak lagi hosting kat malaysia nih lembab..
Samada lembab line dia ataupun server dia..

Dan jangan jugak harapkan yang murah sangat tapi keselamatan ko tak terjamin..

So.. tak perlu pastikan samada ia kat malaysia atau sebagainya..
tapi pastikan berikut :
1. Keselamatan web anda.
2. Kestabilan kompeni tersebut demi menjamin web ko tak hilang bersama tutupnya kompeni tersebut.
3. Pastikan web ko best!.. Kalau tak best.. best bab2 lain tanpa yang nih.. tak guna jugak

Betul...tuuu tapi ada juga yang pikir macam tuuu.

Tapi yang paling senang, ko tanya lerr kat hosting company tuu dimana server..nya sebelum ko bayar..

Personally, I prefer US server than Malaysia server. I see many mass downtime for Malaysia datacentre...

Actually it depends. I saw a few oversea hosting down even more often than local one.

Hi,
I'll tell you what. Most of the time when a US server is down, it is due to server problems (either software or hardware) whereas local server is down all the time due to network issues. Furthermore, there are times when the local servers "appear" online here, but actually people from other parts of the world are unable to reach it due to our ISP's international routing while local routing is still fine.

So the conclusion is still back to whether you have local or international audience.

Seems that you still don't understand what we are saying. For local web hosting companies, it can be categorized into:

1. Malaysia company + Malaysia server
- Many complained about network stability

2. Malaysia company + Overseas server
- Some don't like the connectivity speed because it is slower than accessing a Malaysia server.

The company is still local.

Hilang macammana yang ko maksudkan?

Kalau risau company hilang..
- Bayar..lerr secara bulanan sebab kalau hilang pun tak rugi banyak

Kalau Database hilang...
- Selalu...lah backup, so masalah ini tidak timbul

Kalau Web file hilang..
- Tak perlu risau langsung sebab sudah pasti ko masih ada original copy kat PC ko.

So, secara amnya tak lerr timbul masalah sangat kalau pun company tu hilang..

Rasanya dah cukup dah orang lain jelaskan.. tuh pun kalau ko nak cube paham laa..

Kalau pun kompeni tuh kat malaysia, belum tentu ko stabil dan selamat..
Macam jugak orang yang hutang ngan ko.. ceruk mana pun kalau jenis tak reti bayar tuh.. sori la kalau nak dapat balik kan?

Sebenarnya yang paling penting ialah :
Company yang stabil
Stabil disini beerti, dah untung, dah banyak duit, dah berpengalaman..
dan kebarangkalian 'hilang fail' adalah BIASA.. banyak faktor bleh sebabkan.. samda dari Cracker, dari Script itu sendiri etc2..
so kalau komepni tuh berpengalaman or stabil.. dia paling2 tidak pun ada backup weekly or montly..

itu pasal aku kata company yang stabil tuh penting.. STABIL dalam macam2 hal dan bidang..
