server load

the hosting server load is 6.62 (4 cpus) Last night it goes to 14 something is this too high? I think the server specification is Dual p4 1Gig ram or something like that.

Cpanel servers run full backup at night the load would be high that is normal. Check the load during the day to check Cpu utilization.

too many processes, usually downloads and backup.

P4 dual usually lag from 5.0 and above. Xeon lagness from 15 and above. A huge difference.

I just sign up with the site so no sure about the down time.

Server isn't very slow Just shock when see the server load so high so asking expert here will this be a problem.

Intel Pentium 4 CPU 3.20GHz, 1GB RAM ,Dual Processor, Red hat enteprise 3.0

我的意见是，只要server没有down就好了。毕竟一分钱，一分货嘛，并不能太挑剔。如果您真的需要g uaranteed utilization的话，我还是建议您投资在市价般的hosting吧！
