hi,
just wanna ask.. does anyone know about KillerByte Hosting (http://www.killerbytehosting.com/) im interested with their Extreme Package.. and the price is kindda too good to be true for just RM117 getting nearly everything unmetered.. i donno if its trustable or not.. i oso sent them and email.. been 3 days and still no reply.. so wat do u guys say ? |

How much files do you intend to store on the server? Do you really need the "unlimited" diskspace? Let me give you an idea of overselling. I'm sure you've came across Gigabyte Hosting plans in the market that offer you gigabyte storage for the price of less than RM200/year? You may do your research at www.webhostingtalk.com on overselling and I'm sure you will be able to identify the common problems faced when you're hosting with such provider: 1. Sudden storage limitation - You've stored a few hundred MBs in your account but you can no longer upload any file. The other users have filled up the server HDD with their files. 2. Reliability issue - Crowded server, high load and in return gives you more downtime 3. Tech support issue - With such a low price, the provider can hardly earn good money to have the model to hire a team of experienced technician. Not to forget the number of staff he can hire versus the number of clients. It cannot be balanced. My suggestion to you is: 1. Ask yourself how much storage do you really need. 2. Think carefully for the intention of your web site. Is it a personal or business site? 3. Set a reasonable budget. Always bear in mind that you get what you pay for. All the best. |

just spotted this thread, i had experience with killerbyte, not a good one. one of my site was hosted by them thru a reseller, i couldn't get my subdomains working and they asked me to wait for 48 hours for them to be resolved (which was definitely nonsense), so I contacted them 48 hours later they had nothing to say and kept telling me they're trying to solve the problem, it took another 24 hours before i decided to quit and take back the money (at least they still have 30 days money back guarantee). well i'm not saying their customer service is bad on purpose, but i think their technician isn't professional enough, and sometimes don't know what they are doing.
