Hello rockdapunkymonk,

Very funny! We don't even have a web server in Penang.

There isn't any Myloca or Netmyne type large scale data center in Penang. Mostly are server rooms of those governments, coporates and factories.

kkstudio is NOT CEO of exabytes.com, but KSSTUDIO (aka Chan) is

I don't have any official blog yet, but going to have 1 soon :P. We are going to launch some blogging services ... stay tuned.

to be more specific, server room is just a small room with servers and some network equipements. Data Center is bigger in scale, there might be several rooms inside a data center. Normally data center also has other facilities like, raised floor, redundant power supply, backup power generator, bgp routers, huge bandwidth ... etc.

The blogging service is our new product line, which is available to public.

Yes, that's the photo of Myloca Data Center Building, now is known as "TM Net Data Center". The data center is inside Cyberjaya.

One of the big costs of running a data center is controlling the temperature and humidity. I wonder if that is why Malaysian data centers charge so much compared to the US. We are hot and humid so the climate control must be in overdrive!

That indeed true, the other thing will be the bandwidth price which is priced at sky high!
