I used hive for 3 months ever since march. There is one week where the back up drive was corrupted and all their data was loss. For the whole week the hostings was down. Eventhough my site that is hosted on hive loads fast but it is unreliable as timeouts occurs quite often. Before switching to hive hosting i hosted my site on a free hosting . I found out that the free hosting is more reliable than hive. My community population dropped from 87 active users per day to less than 2-3 nowadays. Since i recklessly subscribed for a yearly package, im stuck with this hosting for a year. If this poor service goes on , i will have to plot my revenge by hosting my game files on hive. And yeah btw , the unlimited bandwith is actually a fraud. They wont let anyone exceed 20 GB. [Almost all site hosted on hive have lower bandwith usage than 2 GB since downtime is often]
Avoid this hosting. |

Sorry to hear about your situation. Well, there is no such thing as "unlimited bandwidth".

Well I use Hive (
) and since yesterday had not been able to access my website. Guess it's another downtime issue again. This is nothing new by now as far as hive.com.my is concern. And as of today the 17th of June 2006, 14.45 I am still not able to access my website. So to people looking for a webhost please take note of our experience with Hive and you will be spared from frustration. |

NOTE : Please ask for REFUND from your provider. If not you can CHARGEBACK by telling your credit card company. This CHARGEBACK will put a hole in your provider account. |

Hi, all fellow Hive customers,
Anyone of you got your account "upgraded"? During the downtime, Hive promised to "upgrade" all users in their expansion plan this August and to inform us by phone or email. It's September now, anyone got a phone call or even an email from Hive? My account looked the same, no change. Anyone's got "upgraded"? Just in case Hive has forgoten about it, here's the upgrade notice. |

Perhaps an email to them about the state of your account?
Sometimes they might be having too many things to do that they might overlook things. I do that sometimes... I admit that. So maybe you could just email them about the upgrade thing and see how they respond. If they do not respond to you within 2-3days, then please do PM me or something, I'll try to help as much as possible. |

Thank you very much Mr Aodat2 for your kindness,
For your information, i'm now using my account with Hive as a backup of my backup of old MP3s. As such i'm not particularly anxious nor exited about the so-called update. As this promise was made to all affected users in Hive Support Website, I fully expect them walk the talk and not wait for individual customers to call up asking for the upgrade. Like you Aodat2, i'm just a disinterested party, posting a little reminder in this forum as a civic duty to all affected customers of Hive. If, as a result of my gentle reminder, some of us get upgraded, then I'll feel amply rewarded for my effort. On the other hand, if we didnt get any upgrade, then so be it. I've done my duty by letting others know what actually happened in the hope that future webmasters will be able to make wiser decision finding a good hosting company. Yours sincerely, Sauerkraut |
