Unlimited would be an inappropriate word to use. Unmetered would be more accurate.

Anyway, never heard of them. I'm practically happy with my hosting partners right now. One advise; look beyond cheap.

Havent tested them yet, if anyone have any experice please share with us here. I have email them about the word "Offshore Hosting". As their email me back, it mean that they allowed illegal site like pr0n, w4r3z etc.

Offshore from Malaysia means Onshore somewhere else. There is only one floating data-centre and it's very expensive to get data there. You will still be covered by the anti-piracy etc. laws wherever it is hosted.

Shinjiru.com.my itself is certainly not hosted off-shore as it has a Telekom Malaysia Eastgate IP address.

    Sandwich,

You must be new in Shinjiru. Please identify yourself to me via email. While I value your enthusiasm working with us, it is never our culture to boast or brag about us in the forum. This posting of yours come at a very unappropriate time as I am investigating the case of an unhappy customer on the other thread. If our service is so good, we should not have any complaint.

And traxport should update here after verifying about sandw|ch.

As traxport points out, it is more than just a coincidence that there is a complaint on another thread and sandw|ch comes along to say good things, especially since it is a new member who joined yesterday and its the first post. And on top of that, this is an old thread from over 2 years ago. Very suspicious. This is the exact type of situation that gives hosts a bad name on forums. It is too easy to create a good cop / bad cop" scenario.

    Hi,

I apologize for the post earlier. As I am still new to the company, I am not familiar with this. As I was surfing, I came across this topic and I thought of replying it. Anyway I have emailed you my identity.

    Thank you.

Hi Dongdong, don't be caught by the word "Unlimited Bandwidth" or unmetered (implying unlimited). There is no such thing as unlimited in this world. HostGator also says unlimited bandwidth but they limit other things like number of inodes, whatever it means, and you can be sure that while bandwidth is unlimited, you will still be limited, LOL. Anyway, my investigation shows that HostGator is the best value-for-money for those who need technical support and GoDaddy for those who don't, if your target audience is international. Locally, everyone says it is Exabytes. Does anyone have a better plan?

Ekompute, I hope you realise you are replying to a post from over 2 years ago. Not even sure if the OP is still reading the forums since dongdong 's last activity was 8 months ago..

There should be a way for the forum admins to lock threads over a certain age, maybe 30 - 60 days old to avoid bringing up old threads again.

Hahaha, but actually it doesn't matter, does it? The post is open to everyone to read and not just the original person who posted it. I can't remember but I saw this thread displayed at New Posts or something.

Sandwich is new in the company. I got his email and I have informed him not to simply post something like this. Thanks.

You are right. That is 2 years ago and we do not sell unlimited bandwidth account anymore.

For shared hosting, unmetered and unlimited bandwidth makes no difference. There are no such thing as unlimited bandwidth, everything has its limit.

Somewhat agrees. Normally old post shouldn't be dug up unless it is still relevant.
