Webhost for a forum

Hello. I want to start a forum with my own domain name, not the ones with ".blogspot.com" at the end of it. are there any webhosts that have supportive programs for this?

how big size do i need for a forum? 100MB cukup? 500MB?

Blogspot provides blogging service not forum.

For your information, if you go for cPanel hosting service, 100MB is more than enough for your forum to grow. The members & posts are stored in mySQL database, which the quota is not counted within that 100MB. Your mySQL can grow and occupy the whole server hard disk as the hosting provider cannot do anything against you :P

Oh well, if you are willing to pay for hosting + domain, you can get yourself a very nice yourforum.com

Otherwise, you can look for domain that can mask free forum hosting's URL.

Else, there's no more choice for you.

the forum is for letting ppl post their stuffs to exchange with others. it won't be heavy trafic or so many posts. something like a place to sell n buy second hand stuffs, but specific things.

Do you intend to purchase a hosting account + domain name?

You can try phpBB or SMF forum.

Since you mentioned there's no heavy traffic, probably bandwidth of around 5GB/month is a very good start.
