Looking for a Shared Hosting

hello you guys,need a little advice here
currently i am looking for a shared hosting,
can you guys recommend me some?

need at least 15GB diskspace
>300GB bandwidth monthly
most of my site user are from malaysia
Hosting large file for download (media file)

Check out Exabytes.com.my .. hmm, that's the only LOCAL hosting service i use (used mostly overseas service many years ago)

Are you sure shared hosting can meet your requirement? How about CPU resources (scripts and database)? You would probably need Semi-Dedicated hosting.

hmm exabytes EBiz GOLD plan only offer 15gb diskspace and 150gb banwidth.
right now i think shared hosting will do it,current i am on dedicated server cost RM154 permonth,and i think it's a waste because i dont use too much resource.

sounds like a sweet deal from Lunarpages pixens, are you using it? any comments on their service? Exabytes is good so far, stable and efficient

I think a lot of shared hosts who offer such large space and bandwidth will eventually ask you to upgrade to a semi or dedicated server or leave before you come close to using such large amounts of resources.

Read terms and conditions carefully. Often there will be some conditions of you cannot use more than a certain amount of CPU or memory etc. Or you cannot host certain types of files for public download etc.

Very often the large numbers advertised for space and bandwidth is to capture your attention and give you the impression that you are getting huge amounts of resources for the little money you pay. Those who are not experienced will say why pay eg $1 for 100MB when you can get 10GB for the same price. There are other factors like quality of service and support etc to consider as well.

Currently I am using three share hosting, one is IXWebhosting and two from IPServerone(Linux and Windows).
So far for large hosting space and MS SQL server database IXWebhosting is the best, but for transfer speed that will be very slow, not because of the hosting bandwidth less, is because of Malaysia broadband like Streamyx provide less bandwidth to oversea.
I also use Exabytes Biz1 hosting before, because it did not provide MSSQL database I changed to IPServerone. Almost same as Exabytes hosting package, just It provides more space and MSSQL(for Windows) and more domains host(for Linus), consider cheaper if compare with Exabytes.

For shinjiru.com, the webhost is actually really good. They have been around for sometime and they have a huge customer base.

For CGYHost.com, I do not have any comment on it Never read any review on them.

By the way, for a dedicated server cost at RM154 per month is consider cheap. Why would you want to jump to lower level of hosting ?

Shared hosting definitely beaten by dedicated server.
For you to able to use 300 GB bandwitdh, it (which is equivelent to 1Mbit contants usage monthly), the cost for the webhost is more than RM 150 already.

well currently my site dont use too much resource and i think for now dedicated server would be a waste of money,that why i am moving to shared hosting.At the same time i recive complain from my user, when about 20 user downloading large file from my site,they state that speed is very slow,i think that is because i am using 100mbps line shared with 22 server.

The bandwidth alone is already used up a lot of resources
High bandwitdh usage contribute to :

1. High CPU Load
2. High I/O load

So, that is why, for a huge bandwitdh user, it is wise to spend on a dedicated server.

By the way, 100Mbps shared on 22 servers will not effect anything. Unless, you host huge media archive inside those servers.

For 100mbps you can host around 80 - 90 webservers. Or even more.

hmm is that so? well that is not the only reason,i don't have enough time to manage a dedicated server that why i am moving to shared.

currently i am hosting around 30GB Media file on my server.
