Unreliable Host!!!

As I'm posting this I'm SUPER frustrated.

I would love to know if anyone's website is hosted by Hive and whether or not you guys are experiencing DAILY (normally in the afternoon) downtime as frequent as I do?

I've been complaining about this by submitting tickets to my host but they never would answer to my questions accordingly, making me feel that they are trying to be unaccountable!

The worst part is that yesterday when I submitted another ticket, it took them more than 24 hours to reply when their site says "24 hours support"!!!!

This afternoon they FINALLY replied saying how they were performing an "immediate maintenance." LIKE, HELLO, HOW MANY TIME IN A DAY DO YOU HAVE TO PERFORM MAINTENANCE??? For EVERY single time they "perform maintenance" my website is affected and it has not been like one or two times! Excuse me I paid my godamn money ok? My website has got this advertisement campaign running and because of the downtime not only does it affect the campaign but also my readers and site PR!

And one more thing is that if they are performing maintenance why is an announcement never made on the website, leaving customers wondering what the hell happened???

Now as I'm tying my website is down down down yet AGAIN (despite the fact that they just replied to my ticket like 10 mins ago)!!

OK, sorry for the rant, but I'm feeling super angry and helpless. Is anyone hosted under the hive facing the exact problem like mine? Did you tell hive?

I'm looking for a more reliable host, budget around RM150 annually, with reliable uptime and support.

I heard exabytes is excellent. Cant comment much on them since I don host with them.

I myself is hosted at DataKL and so far their support is fast and their service isn't that bad.

If you are going to generate income from your website. It would be better that you properly plan your hosting requirement. Trying to cut down the cost will bring disaster to your traffic.

Search for a good reliable hosting It may cost you a little but since your website is your gold pot, you would be better invest more.

For me, kkhost.net is good choice. (I hope I spell it right)

So far so good. I just bought a plan from them TODAY, and I got my account in less than 10 minutes after I emailed them about my payment. Their support is fast, I got all my replies within minutes.

As for uptime, they have 99.5% guarantee. Since I just got hosted today, this I can't comment much on this aspect. As for speed, so far I am satisfied, probably because it is a local host after all. My previous free USA host is very slow, and sometimes the ping can reach 900ms!

They've made a good impression. I do hope this good thing will continue.

Glad that you're enjoying the local speed If you serve mostly local audience, it'll be fantastic. However, if you have mostly overseas visitors, the problem will now be faced by your visitors

If you're happy with your current hosting provider, why waste the money?

Yeap. I am using that DataKL to host my online journal (as the link on my siggy). It's my first day hosting and I already submitted a ticket for a request to change the directory where my subdomain is pointing. Their support staff misunderstands my problem, leaving the ticket with a lengthy replies. But after they got exactly what I want, they fulfilled my request by changing the DocumentRoot in their apache immediately. But this isn't the problem, at least their support is fast and the staff is willing to help you with all they can. Perhaps my way of explaining is a thing to blame, since I myself is not familiar with Apache. One thing also being that I submitted the ticket during office hours. It was like 3.30pm when I submitted my tickets. Not sure how is their support off office hours.

You are not the only one. Do a search in here and wht.com.my and you will know. I suffered big losses due to this loser.

They won't even respond to my tickets. Several call to their office went unheeded.

I believe it's time for you to change the hosting... I didn't know hive hosting is this bad..

Their service has deteriorated lor to be frank! I've been giving them a year's time hoping they would improve, but otherwise happens. Sigh.
But I can't blame them after all. Their prices speak volume. I'm now waiting for them to release my domain info.
