Dedicated server prob

i just rent a new dedicated server.. my prob is i dont know how to manage it..someoane said that i have to create my own nameserver.. but im in a lil bit of confuse.. i only got 1 ip and got an error on bind dns .. everytime i`ve create an account i will received an error about binding something and i dont know what the prob is.. and... then i`ve put ns1.scumz.net into my nameserver... my question is... do i have to put only ns1.scumz.net as my nameserver at my domain manage ? help me please...

Just one off topic question. If you do not know how to manage a dedicated server, are you sure you are going to continue to use the dedicated server? FYI, security risk is one thing, upgrading your server, for instance kernel is more dangerous as if you do not know how to do it, you stand a very big chance of killing your server.

My advise, if possible, try to get someone to manage your server or get a managed server.
