hi,

I been using Google Adsense for about 2 years. Recently i also tried some of the level 2 stuff, disapointed.

I believe most of the webmasters in Malaysia (or nearby countries) are not getting high pay from adsense. I think the main reason is because there arent many advertisers in Malaysia. Users tend to click on something that is relevant, if i read the adsense and think its not from malaysia, i will not click on it. Well, i think this is affecting websites with local specific contents (eg. malaysian places, malaysian properties, malaysian education, etc). If your website is about something more general (eg. car, bikes, arts, games) where users looking for information on a specific product or service which is available globally, then the chances of you earning well from adsense is higher.

So if you want to start a website, and intending to generate income from adsense, then you have to choose something more global.

i sacrifice one of my tall skyscraper to make way for the referral and for the past 2 days... guess what happened...theres nothing happened... not a even single click on it.

I wait for another fews days and see how it goes. If result are not good, i'll just stick with to the normal content ads

Elvin, I have the same experience with you too.

I gave it a 1 week trial test on selected referrals program. Well, let's say the referral 2.0 is still on its early stage for any real implementation.

I took one look at the 2.0 referrals thing and didn't bother taking part when I saw how much you earn for some of the offers and also how hard some of the offers may be to convert into leads and sales.

I think this is not going the way Google was expecting it to go when they first launched it.

Build sites for the US's market.

I have built sites (financial, insurance, parenting, health, etc) for the US's market to get high Adsense earnings.
One of my sites is ranked among the top 20 by Google for the keywords of "digital products" which is a very highly competitive. Three more are ranked among top 50 for "debt free", "parenting guide" & "paintball resources".
