I bank in a BCB and they just charge me RM 10 per check and it take exactly one month for the check to be credited into one month

BCB is whcih bank? sorry if i am asking a silly question.

alang, mine took 1month too but are you sure there is no charges from the opposite bank???
My US bank always whack USD 10 off my cheque...i think they r hungry...

Need to open BCB account after this, coz now 3 times i cleared my check at Maybank and deduct USD 10 ( For Foreign bank charge + RM 25 ( Maybank charged ) = around RM 60

btw, from what i know if any country outside US and wanted to wire transfer USD to another country(example Malaysia). They have to send the money to US bank to convert the amount to USD and then send to us.

With that process, i think the payer was charged a fee of USD26.00 in total. Not including RM5 for maybank.

The thing with BCB, last time I checked ... you have to deposit at your home branch. the branch where you opened your account. Mine is in JB, I'm in KL ...

So I go with MBB ... but damn those fees ...

Lucky my BCB home branch is at Kelana Jaya. I stay at Bandar Utama and my office at Damansara Heights.
