i know, but according to some online advertising experts they claim that having eye catching ads will attract users on viewing them and the higher chances of them clicking it.

i saw certain sites intergrate the google ads so well that it looks like those text were actually part of their websites. That i think will somehow won't catch much of the visitor's attention of viewing it.

Heh, so many post, I didn't visit here for quite a while. What I mean by 10% is by the number of visitors not by the google page impression. If my CTR is 10% I will quite my job right now.

My ctr is just slightly above 1% and number of click I received is about 10% from daily unique visitors.

About the colour ads, I would prefer an ads that matching my website colour scheme. The reason is simple, when people know its an ads they won't click on it because that will make you rich. But if you make it looks like part of your site, they will click it..this is from my experience. Just check out my site to see what I mean.

But you have to use different approach for a different site, I have try all type of and size of ads but the best for me is the banner box that I put above the text links. (like my download section)

that's why i said you guys having high CTR. If i have 1-2% CTR i gonna have few dedicated servers!

Have to use a few tricks to get high CTR. Visitors are not willingly click on the ads. As I said before, they hate when they know it will getting other people richer.

But I still didn't have time to update the blogs, but most of the useful tips is there and you can try it by yourself.

One tip that I find really work is blend you ads into your content using the box format. Make your content wrap the ads.

I get about 3-5% CTR and good days, 5-7% ... Secrets?? Here goes ...

1 - targeted traffic - mine from search engines, do SEO and all
2 - good but boring content ... :P
3 - contrast the ad from your website ... :P

Oh yeah .. this is for blogging right? No comment ... I do mini-content-sites (about 50 pages)

Hey Liew,

I suggest, the top banner you put "Image Ads". Then put the Text-Ads between your blogs (in the middle). To earn maximum income on google ad..u gotto do a lot of trial and error.

Did you read the article in in-tech last week? It's like how many little percentage of bloggers are "REALLY" earning money from ads...

If you wanna earn REAL BIG MONEY, I suggest you do a content site. I don't mean you to stop the blog, your blog is fantastic, one of the best i've seen in malaysia, and I think it can serve a great source to attract visitor. What I suggest is like to..ermm..add some content site inside your webpage...may be software/hardware/gadgets review..or may be create some AWS store. yeah, you gotto trial&error&find the multiple way to earn maximum income. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing but expect different result.
