Why not try Eon Bank. They only charge RM 10.00. One month clearing, also use Citibank Delaware. No hassle, no queue up. Only write your name, IC numbers and your signature behind the cheque. One thing they ask, how you got that cheque, and I told them it was commission fee from my internet business. That's all. Period.

Usually within 2 weeks after your account said payment approved. Google mail using ordinary post not registered mail.

Alang,

Do you still use BCB? Do they still charge just RM10?

I called up my home branch and ask them - they aren't sure about the fees because only the clearing centre in KL handles that. But they said I can post my cheque over to them via AR registered or something like that.

BCB needs you to deposit at home branch, as mentioned by Kidino.
Muamalat is ok.. somebody told me to try Hong Leong Bank..
So all my latest checks are with HLB.. their fee is RM50 + RM10 courier.. but today.. I was shocked. They charged me RM50 + RM10 + $75 (RM280).. They said $75 was the charges from Citibank Delaware..

I found a thread on the Internet.. and somebody else's check was charged $75 too:
http://www.webmasterworld.com/forum89/1454.htm

The adsense check was $2++ and I only received RM4++ .. imagine.. how many I have lost?

I had deposited my prev adsense checks in Muamalat.. and the fee is very reasonable..

I guess it's time for me to go back to BCB or Muamalat..

Fairuz
I am going to stop using MayBank also. I've been deposting US checks since 1999. Yes may bank charge USD10 and RM25 at 3.775.

But the funny thing is if the amount is lest than RM 63.05, they can actually excempt you from the RM25 fee! It's in their sole discretion which is unfair.

The worst commission I've to pay to a bank is US75 for each check. I was told this after I deposited checks for couple of months already. Come to think of it, why did I pay them as a result of theor mistake not informing me earlier?

The manager showed me their regulation doc after a few months but silly me, even then I should had insisted not to pay. NVM.. old story...

I don't think you can do that. You'll be charge the processing fee for each checks.

Thank you for that info. Actually I am going to move to PublicBank after all this while. The bank clerk told me it's RM 20 only, doesnt even mentioned the 2% and max RM100 max. No doubt I'll be paying for RM100 for some of my checks.. That's too much. Will ask them for confirmation..

Oh I think I'll finally move to BCB if they really charge RM10 only! Really aaa???

Sure ah? Google just approved my second check. I am planning to bank in two checks together at once to save the process fee... Duh...

Fortunately, now we can hold the payment until we want Google to pay us.

Always try to ask the bank teller on how to minimize the charges or try to talk to bank manager for a special deal. Also try to ask at different branch, trust me some bank teller will charge less some will charge more. Once, i got charged AUD10 for clearing each check but now I went to other branch and they charge me AUD15 for 4 checks. Weird that sometimes they charge me AUD10 for 4 checks. Dont let your bank rip you off and always ask them on how to minimze the charges.

Just an update ... last month, I wanted to deposit with BCB. But with BCB, you must deposit ONLY to your home branch, the branch where you opened your account.

My home branch is in JB and I stay in KL. So I called up my home branch and they told me that I can post the cheque over. So I did - using AR post.

And today my cheque was cleared. Exchange rate at 3.775 and took RM10 from the amount.

That's a good deal. Going to open a BCB account to keep my adsense earnings.

(Hmm... need to apply a PB bank debit card too...)
