I just got my first google adsense check on Friday! A new year gift from Google!
I have a question here. What is the rate of charge for each local bank to bank in the US check?
Thank you! and, Happy New Year!

If you bank in at EON Bank, it will charge you RM 10.00 and take a month to clear. Exchange rate depend sometime it's RM 3.77 or RM 3.78 depends but not more than RM 3.79.
And if you are muslim that your name has "Bin", you can bank in the cheque at EON Bank, eventhough your payee name do not include the word "Bin" like "Ali Abu" instead of "Ali Bin Abu".
Other bank will not accept it, unless you can prove your identity and explain to them.

if u clear your check at MAYBANK . The rate is USD 1 = RM 3.75 .
example : if u got USD 500 . Charge for Oversea bank ( Google inc currently using Citibank deliware ) USD 10 .
So, Maybank will convert USD 490 to RM = 1850 .
then Maybank will charge for their processing fee RM 25 .
so...your Nett : = RM 1825 .
you will get detail payment statement from maybank after 3 to 7 day your check credited to your account .
time for credited : 1 month +
Regards,
p/s anyone from malaysia got FM radio from google for new year or cristmas gift .
Nothing Special...
how long time can we keep the google check? I am thinking to gather a few check and process all at once to save the processing fee - RM25
it will xpire on the end of the month
cuase it will be basi.
hahahaaa...
i donno really
I deposit it at BCB, they just charge RM 10 and take 30-45 days to clear. Normally just 30 days.
And the exchange rate is 3.77
Cheque usually holds for 6 months. All types of bank will buy your cheque at the current exchange rates. They are fixed at 3.7X. Most will charge you an extra sum of fee for the process. I like to use BCB too to remit in my 2CO funds.

i tried public bank it's 2% of your cheque but a minimum of RM20 or maximum of RM100 from the amount.
It also takes 30 days. it's standard.
Also, take note, NEVER EVER use maybank!!!! It's hell expensive!!! USD 10 (they claims that it's a commission from the US bank) and RM25 for their own. It's definitely a daylight robbery. hehe![]()
Thank you for the information. I shall bank in to my PublicBank account then.Originally posted by vcheewei

Hmm.. Seems like it is better I wait for next USD100 cheque and bank in together is more economic.
By the way, can my family bank in the cheque for me?
Because I am now working 6 days per week, never meet bank opening hour. What things are required? bank book? IC?

@ Lcf - why you never put BCB in your consideration. They just charge you RM 10 and take 30 days too
