alot credit card related keywords

Great stuff - but difficult topics. Some are easy. Try running the keywords through at Search Guild - http://www.searchguild.com/cgi-bin/difficulty.pl

I take it that when Search Guild reports a number of difficulty - divide that by 10 - that is approx the number of incoming links that you need. And bare in mind, most of the times you have like 100 link but Google only registers 20.

wow, where did u get the list of keywords and cost per click? Are those accurate?

You can check and make your assumption at http://uv.bidtool.overture.com/d/USm.../index.jhtml?l . Google Adsense bid is more higher than Overture.

To find the accuracy of the high paying keywords, I ran a test:

I created a simple mini site and put my adsense code on it (keyword - Search Engine Optimization).

The whole point of the site is to experiment with this idea. But frankly speaking I am quite disappointed with the results.

Although this keyword claims to have value of more than 10 USD but what I gain from it is not more 5% of its claimed value.....

it's depend on your page impression and ctr, then your earning is high..

I'm studying my site. Eventhough your cpm is low below 10 bucks, but if your page impression is high and click ratio is more than 1/10., you can get 20 times from your cpm value.

Efective CPM = Earning / Page Impressions x 1000 ~ or your earning per 1000 Page Impressions

Clickthrough Rate (CTR) = Clicks / Page Impressions

Cost Per Click (CPC) = Earning / Clicks ~ on average, how much you are earning for a single click. This is calculated yourself. Does not appear in Google Adsense Report.

Studying my stats - here's what I found. What I am trying to understand here is where or not CPM or CTR effects the CPC?

Does CPM effects Cost Per Click (CPC)? - NOT necessarily.

Generally but NOT necessarily, the higher the CPM, the higher the earning. Look at the graph. But you can see that I've also got CPC of $0.39 at only $12.61 CPM. And in another case, I got a CPC of only $0.19 at $17.09 per CPM. See graph.



Does Click Through Rate (CTR) effects Cost Per Click (CPC)? - No!

This is very clear. Just have a look at the graph - it's everywhere.

It's not just about high-paying keywords, you should know also the stuff around it.
