Well, not quite. ALL incomes from abroad are taxable IF you convert and spend the money locally in Malaysia. So in our case, yes it's taxable. Hey I am filling my tax form now and there's no way around it my friend.

BTW, don't you guys know that disclosing your monthly income is against Google's policy? Google does not allow you to disclose any information/stats of your account unless you want to get kicked, sorry. You guys should read the terms carefully.

https://www.google.com/adsense/localized-terms

Quote:
7. Confidentiality. You agree not to disclose Google Confidential Information without Google's prior written consent. "Google Confidential Information" includes without limitation: (a) all Google software, technology, programming, specifications, materials, guidelines and documentation relating to the Program; (b) click-through rates or other statistics relating to Site performance in the Program provided to You by Google; and (c) any other information designated in writing by Google as "Confidential" or an equivalent designation. However, You may accurately disclose the amount of Google’s gross payments to You pursuant to the Program. Google Confidential Information does not include information that has become publicly known through no breach by You or Google, or information that has been (i) independently developed without access to Google Confidential Information, as evidenced in writing; (ii) rightfully received by You from a third party; or (iii) required to be disclosed by law or by a governmental authority.
You better edit your post before Google finds out

BTW, during one of my best months I earn over five figures income in RM. Hope that's general enough.

Oh well spotted my friend. Apparently Google has changed it's policy regarding revenue disclosure in the new term released on March 8, 2005, just realised that too.

I stand corrected and myself reprove.

Now you can tell people about your income, so don't edit your posts

Ok who's next....

What about this - excerpt from LHDN website:

a) Bagi Individu Pemastautin
Individu pemastautin dikenakan cukai atas pendapatan yang diperolehi di Malaysia dan pendapatan yang diterima di Malaysia dari luar Malaysia

b) Bagi Individu Bukan Pemastautin

Wow, that's a good news if income from overseas are exempted.

Actually, I've asked the LHDN staff in my area and they told me what I've told you guys earlier. Well I'll ask them again about the exemption starting 1995.

So I guess this paragraph

Quote:
a) Bagi Individu Pemastautin
Individu pemastautin dikenakan cukai atas pendapatan yang diperolehi di Malaysia dan pendapatan yang diterima di Malaysia dari luar Malaysia
is already outdated. I wonder if it means we are only exempted from paying local tax only when that income from oversea has been taxed in the country of origin, i.e. US.

Did your question state that the oversea income was not taxed and was brought in, converted to RM and spent in Malaysia, not in the source country?

Wait... I just noticed something....

I think our income is still taxable!! because this paragraph

Quote:
Mulai Tahun Taksiran 1995 seterusnya hanya pendapatan diperolehi di Malaysia sahaja dikenakan cukai.
only applies to

Quote:
c) Bagi Syarikat Pemastautin
So, I think our celebration is a little premature. Will confirm and let you guys know.

OK ... one thing, referring email that webber got which says individu

And let say, that it doesn't apply to individu - what's the definition of syarikat? is it SDN BHD ... or would enterprise (milikan tunggal) qualify. If so, just register milikan tunggal lah ...
