Nice one. I am dumbping Maybank after 5 years with them cashing my US checks.

Moving to Publick Bank or BCB. Don't have RHB in my rea unfortunately.

No idea why isit free of charge for us checks though, perhaps (just guessing the possibility) it has something to do with their partnership with the US embassy in the payment for visa application? Anyway this is from their website, they didn't mention the exact charges:

We will assist you to clear your foreign cheques received from abroad at a minimal fee.

Just deposit the foreign cheque at any branch nearest to you and your account will be credited with the funds upon confirmation on the clearance of the foreign cheque subject to deduction of commission.
