i have launched my new website last week and got 1000 unique in 5 days (including today). Earnings are only $5. I'd assume I'll be getting $20 end of this month

alang is right.. contents are very important. am focusing on bringing up more new websites up soon.

I work on the $1 a day a site principle. .... my plan is 100 sites = USD100 perday,
now i got 5 websites

any one used this principle currently?

100 websites? Heh, I know I will never manage to have websites that much. For me, 1 quality website is much better than 100 half quality sites. Maybe, if I do it fulltime I'll manage to develop lots of website, but I won't do that until I'm really satisfy with the current site I have.

For the busy executives, having a large amount of website helps in additional income. Basically, the contents are static and audience are limited.

For the full-time webmasters, you can have 1 quality website (like alang said) and the income can be in the thousands...

Yeah, after google update the TOS, I'd see a tremendous increase in my earning too.

Well .. I do the $1-per-day-per-site. I have about 12 active sites right now. Some are >$5/day. Some are <$1/day. But most of my sites are <30 pages. Combined, I only get about 20k uniques per month. And doing fairly OK with Adsense & CJ.com ...

I will continue to build more mini-content-sites (<50 pages). But I am starting a new website with Alang's approach. Targeting >1000 uniques per day in the next 3 months.

But there're pro and cons to this ...

One Huge Site
Good: you build one site, easier to manage
Bad: All your eggs are in ONE basket

Many Mini Sites
Good: Diversification, you can lose one and still have the rest
Bad: Too many sites to manage

And I believe the debate goes on ...

$1 a day is really slow. You can't manage 100 websites at a time.

No matter you have 1 site or 100 sites, all have their own risks. So its your choice.

BTW, I heard a rumours that google start suspend low performing accounts...so I hope before you apply for adsense, make sure its get some traffic that can give you at least $5 revenue a day.

Kidino, can you provide a sample of a throw-and-see-if-stick type website? I'm not familiar with the term...
Alang, the new TOS does in fact state that Google will suspend low performing accounts... however, no one knows what is quantified as low.... Where did you get the $5 a day thingy?

I think for most adsense publishers, it is not easy to get USD5/day... Probably no less than USD20 per month?

Its really hard to draw a border line between a low / high performing websites. Most start out with low perfomance anyway

Maybe I put it quite high, just to be safe. But I assuming that whoever can't make the USD 100 per month (the minimum amount the get cheque) should be in trouble. To get USD 100 per month, you should get around USD 3.30 a day. So I put it at USD 5.00 so you will get USD 150.00 per month. But don't take it as your guide, its just my assumption.

But, from what I read from another forum, low performing sites is for those who earning less than USD 5,000.00 a month.
